Engaging a buyer’s agent was the best thing I have done and I could not recommend it enough. I bought my last property after having rented it so I had no idea what was involved in searching and securing my new home. Having Michael Cohen on my side meant that I felt guided, informed and was much more calm and efficient in my actions throughout the whole process.
From day 1, Michael was approachable and very patient with my questions and ‘wishlist’ and we worked together to really refine it all. Michael’s sole objective was to secure the very best home for me and he really went above and beyond to ensure it would happen.
Michael would inspect properties I came across online, as well as off-market ones and send me initial videos from the inspection. Those videos are a great time saver – there are many properties that look great on the pictures but are not even worth seeing and having someone I trusted to do that initial filtering was extremely valuable to me. I went to see a number of properties with him too – there’s nothing better than having someone with you who cares, knows exactly what to look for and what to ask the seller’s agents, most of whom knew Michael by name.
Michael is very knowledgeable, professional, patient, responsive, and always had time for me and a ton of my inquiries and questions. To add to the mix, I had a month-long work trip to Europe scheduled in the middle of my search. With absolutely no hesitation about time zones or anything else, Michael was prepared to continue in the process with twice-a-daily catch ups over
Whatsapp, and we even went to an auction with me on the phone giving him instructions (really nothing is a barrier for this guy). While I didn’t succeed in the auction (due to my budget), Michael already had a plan B and C outlined and I was inspecting 3 other properties with him on the day I landed back in Sydney. One of those became the house I now own and I couldn’t be happier. It’s all I wanted if not more – Michael really picked up on my ‘vibe’ and what I was after, and even though we were limited by the supply and budget, he was relentless in trying to find what I was after and securing the best price through negotiation for me.
Buying a new place can be very stressful and is a very emotional process. I truly believe that without a buyer’s agent I would still be looking for a house now, getting frustrated and missing out on off-market options. We were introduced to Michael Cohen by a real estate agent when we started to shop around for houses.
We knew what kind of property we would like to buy, however we quickly learned that it wasn’t that easy in our case.
Being still a foreigner to this beautiful country we learned that our hunt for a house was subject to FIRB (Foreign Investment Review Board) which includes an enormous amount of extra regulations and limited us to a complete new built. At that point we realised that we need professional help.
That was when Michael Cohen came into the game and reached out to his extensive network to see what is on the market or currently being built within our budget. Michael arranged the first inspections very soon after the buyers brief was completed and discussed, and he showed us a few properties as comparison and to show us what other properties for similar budgets are looking like. Soon after that, Michael presented us with a house, which exceeded our buyers brief “wish list” and personal expectations and that was the house which could not be beating. Unfortunately, the “unicorn” house was sold, which pushed us back to the beginning. Michael did not give up and sourced another “unicorn” property with the same specs for us and we were able to be included in the buildings final design, the customised finishes of the house and the general process of building from scratch.
